English Championship 1 - Joey Barton departs Brammel Lane

After copping an absolute hammering away to near bottom Nottingham Forest (4:1) last Wednesday night, Herby has made further changes to his ever developing squad.

The deal brokered, saw Joey "Mad Dog" Barton move to Derby County in a £2M + P/E deal. The new face in the Sheffield Utd squad is none other than .....
the young brazilian sensation Silva VAGNER LOVE!!!

The 23 year old, 91 rated forward will no doubt provide Herby with more options in attack and the hole left in midfield by Barton, looks like being filled by the now fit again Phil Neville.

Gold Championship 2 - Sebastian Arbeu To Hibs but thats not all...

Sebastian Arbeu

Age: 30
Rating by SM: 88
SM Value: 4.2 Million
Paid: 12.0 Million

This surely wont be a successful deal?! Or will SM allow it and give Juventus a possible 6m profilt?!

Arbeu is a hugely unrecognized character in the world of football right now and worth just 4 million, so surely if this goes through there will be drama to follow.

English Championship 1 - Major Crunch Time!

Bolton and Man Utd shared the points with a hard fought game which ended goaless.

On a night that saw league leaders Southampton blown away 6-3 at Preston the title race is wide open, with just 3 points seperating 1st and 6th place.

Dave Leigh's Bolton travel to Saint Marys to take on Ryan Delf's Southampton on Saturday which is definately a six pointer!

Help teams in need!

A noble idea, a hard challenge, a great fun!

The manager Allan Neller is the responsible for this challenging new way to enjoy the game, and help it, aswell as testing your manager skill at the same time.

We know that there are many unmanaged clubs across thousands of setups. And we also know that a part of these team never had the chance to be controled by a good manager, and are forced to stay in debt for many seasons, which only increases it's financial problems.

If you are willing to help an unmanaged team, and will face this challenge until the end, don't hesitate and pay a visit to this thread.

Gold 7 - Spurs start the season brightly

Tottenham Hotspur get off to a good start to the season in English Division 1, with 2 wins and 1 loss.

The season started with a 2-1 home win against Bolton Wanderers
New signing Ryan Babel got the home side of to a flyer, opening the scoring after only 3 minutes of his debut. Jermaine Jenas wrapped up the 3 points for the home side, but not withoout a late Ivan Campo strike on 80 minutes, which gave Spurs a scare.

Next up for Spurs was away at Anfield, which saw them lose out 2-0, to Liverpool
After a dull first half, Steven Gerrard opened the scoring for Liverpool, with a strike to be proud of. Then with only 6 minutes to go, a delightful chip from Craig Bellamy, sealed the 3 points for the home side

Tottenham bounced back strongly from that defeat, beating Sunderland 5-1, away from home
Ryan Babel, got his 2nd goal in 3 games, which started the scoring rout. His strike was followed by Luciano Galletti - Signed from Athletico - and Robbie Keane, who made it 3-0, half-way through the second half. Reo-Coker pulled one back on 64 minutes for the Black Cats, but it was not enough. Another goal from Galletti, and substitute Garry O'Connor, gave Spurs a fine 5-1 away win

Gold Championship 7: Woodgate and boro Delight at ewood.

BLACK BURN ROVERS 2 -3 MIDDLESBROUGH

It was a perfect game in all ways for Middlesbrough as they got a deserved 3 points and their first three points of the season. To add to the drama it was a 1st goal ever for local boy Jonothan Woodgate ( middlesbrough first goalscorer of the match).

Gold Championship 7 - Ipswich Unbeaten.

BEINLICH IMPRESSES THE TRACTOR BOYS

Ipswich came from behind twice to share the points with Sheffield United last night.

It started off horrific for Ipswich with David Balleri conceding a enalty in the 10th minute. Not only was a penalty given, but Balleri rubbed salt into Ipswich's wounds after shouting abuse at the referee and throwing the ball away. As a result, The Blades had a penalty and Passoni was instantly Red Carded. After a minute waiting for Balleri to leave the field, Rob Hulse finally converted the penalty for United to give them a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute.

3 minutes later Gaizka Mendieta scored a wonder goal from 34 yards to ensure Ipswich didnt go home without a goal. Dario Passoni was said he had a great game, as 3 times he hit the woodwork.
Just before half time Stefan Beinlich scored an awesome half volley but was deemed a foul on the keeper and the goal was not givne. Controversial decision.

Half Time:
Ipswich Town 1-1 Sheffield United

The second half was awfully quiet besides Brede Hageland getting sent off within the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Sheffield United finally converted their second of the game with a great header from Danny Webber in the last 7 minutes of the game to giove Sheffield United a 2-1 lead.
Ipswich needed to pull something out of the bag and fast with 6 minutes to go, and the man to get them back into the game?... None other than the great debutant Stefan Beinlich.
3 minutes before the end Stefan Beinlich converted a half volley from 6 yards out giving Ipswich Town hope.
Ipswich Town, Still Unbeaten after 3 games slip into 9th position in the table with two draws and a win.

English 1 - Birmingham City 2 : 1 Sheffield United

Not what the doctor ordered ......

It's confirmed ..... Herby and his 'Blades' will compete for promotion next season as the 'DREAM' has crash and burned with 5 games left this term.

In what was a MUST win fixture away to 3rd place Birmingham, who's squad boasted talents such as Fabregas, Mascherano, Saha and McCarthy. The later 2 players finding then net and their names on the scoreboard to secure all the points for the home side. Despite managing to equalise through Mathieu Delpierre, Sheffield United was eventually forced to push for the win which ultimately led to the Birmingham outfit scoring on the counter attack.
In the end many critics would've said that a draw was probably the deserved result with possession being vitually split evenly and Herby's men having more shots in general play and on target.

Herby had few words to say after the match, "We gave it our all, and have come up a tad short. We'll now concentrate on next season and I'm sure we'll be up there again challenging next term".

Gold 7 - Portuguese training ground bust-up!

Shock news coming out of the Chelsea camp today is that there has been a massive bust-up between Chelsea's 2 Portuguese defenders Paolo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho!! Both have stated that unless the other one leaves they will be forced to leave the club as they do not want to play together anymore!

Manager Leigh Auston stated that he is horrified by what has happened and thinks that both lads have been very unprofessional. He has stated that he does not wish to keep players against their will and would be willing to let one or the other go for an offer that benefits the club! It is rumoured that he is looking for 2 players in exchange for each Defender and will not listen to cash only offers.

Auston hopes to resolve this situation asap in time for Wednesday nights game.
